Great Valentines Day

I took a picture with my camera phone of the lovely bouquet of flowers that Jeff gave me last night as I was leaving his house. The evening started with him making me a dinner of pork tenderloin, asparagus, salad, and sparkling juice. He then took me to a little cafe in downtown Palo Alto for dessert. I guess he liked his pajama pants because as soon as he took them out of the bag, he put them on and wore them the rest of the night. All in all, the evening was a huge success; he wins the prize for giving me the best Valentines Day gifts I've ever received.

I don't really have much to say about this...it is what it is.

Misinformed

Have you ever been woken up at 6:30 am by the roar of a 4 wheeler going by your tent? Instead of spending the weekend in lovely Pismo Beach where I thought I was going, I was actually at Oceano Dunes Recreational Area. And I thought I would be laying out on some awesome beach. ha!

Jeff nicknamed it the "Redneck Riviera" and commented that this past weekend was the "Most Redneck" weekend he'd ever spent. I wish I could have said the same.

This picture doesn't show that the beach is right there, but it didn't really matter that the ocean met the sand since the area where one would sun themselves was instead a highway of ATVs, large trucks, and RVs. I never thought I'd be driving my new car on the beach, but I was mistaken. Despite my lack of love for camping and four wheeling, it was a fun weekend filled with good people; don't get me wrong...I had a good time. It was just VERY different from what I thought it would be.

Pismo Beach

So at 11:45pm last night, I was informed that I would be going camping in Pismo Beach this weekend. For your viewing pleasure, I have posted a picture of this lovely place.

Beautiful Day

I would like to take the opportunity to tell all of you that it has been in the 70s here in San Francisco for the past 3 days and when I walked outside this morning at 5:45, it was already 57. OH my goodness. Yesterday I went down to the beach and even though the sun was already almost gone, it was AMAZING.

When is the last time any of you went roller skating? I went on Saturday...and let me tell you; getting older hasn't made my ability to skate backwards any better. I didn't fall a single time, even though I broadsided a wall while on the end of a train. It was worth the laugh.
