For a great day in Le Claire, Iowa, visit the following website. It gives you a full day of adventures starting with a river boat cruise on the Mississippi, a trip to the Buffalo Bill Museum, a romantic twilight cruise on the river, the best little candy shop around (Jacque will love that part) and then my all-time favorite festival held in Iowa (well, at least of the ones I've read about so far) is the TUG FEST!!! This beats all the tug-of-war competitions I ever witnessed as an EFY counselor. Cities in Illinois and Iowa full on compete against each other across the Mississippi River. Now that's something that I'd like to see. VERY unfortunately for Jacque & Aaron, this is happening August 10-12th. This very weekend. This is the 20th year of the Tug Fest and so far, Iowa has won 10 times and Illinois has won 9. Is it going to be a tie or will Iowa hold on to that eagle statue of theirs?
