I love it when things like this happen!
Yesterday on Clementine's blog, I saw video from A Fine Frenzy and loved it. Before heading out to the Brandi Carlile concert, I noticed on my ticket that A Fine Frenzy was opening! How serendipitous!! I've rarely been disappointed with opening acts here in San Francisco, so I was excited to go see them. Go here to listen to some of their music. Maybe I am Obsessed
Last night I went down to San Jose's Music in the Park because my favorite musician was performing for FREE. 
Who is my favorite musician?? Come on...I've only blogged about her 4 times before.
The one and only Brandi Carlile. I went down with some friends from SF and then met up with some people from Palo Alto. She was amazing like usual. Seriously...I know that you don't believe me when I tell you that she's incredible live because I haven't seen you there at her concerts. But I promise you won't be sorry if you go. Playlist
Wedding countdown is on. Only three more weeks until I'm in Nauvoo!
As I've mentioned before, Melissa asked me to be the DJ/Emcee at her wedding. I have yet to figure out what I'm actually going to say as the Emcee, but I think the most of the DJ work is over for now. The really hard thing about music at a wedding reception is that has to appeal to a large crowd. All ages will be there, so it should all be family friendly and as much as I might like dancing to Sexyback, Grandma might not have the same appreciation for it. The bride definitely wants everyone there to have a good time and heck...I want to have a good time, too!
For those interested, here is the playlist that I've come up with (with the help of the bride, the groom, and my home teacher)

I'm not a lesbian
but I am a lesbian music supporter...
Last night I went to see the Indigo Girls and Brandi Carlile at The Fillmore here in San Francisco. I've posted about my affection for Brandi Carlile before so I won't say too much, but she rocked. The Indigo Girls were great and it was fun to see them live. The highlight of the evening for sure was the contact high that I got from the many people who were smoking pot all around me. By the end of the evening I was feeling very relaxed and luckily, I went to bed before I got the munchies. :)
I'm not sure what it is about the Indigo Girl's music, but they're some of the only artists with songs that make me cry. Of course, last night was no exception. One of the last songs they played was called "Last Tears" off their new album and you can click here to listen to it if you'd like. I'll admit that I got a little teary eyed. Beautiful song.

Roadtrip Music
Ok I'm going on a loooooonng plane ride tomorrow (my day will start at 4am and end at an hour much later than midnight if I know Melissa well...) and then I'm going to be in the car for about 6 hours + on Friday.

My blog may be heavy on the videos today just as a warning. Jordan posted this video today and I'm so glad that she did!! I've been in love with the song for about a week now and have been listening to it non-stop at work. Who knew that it had such an awesome video to go with it. Enjoy!

Thank you Nathan
So I got this idea from Nathan's blog the other day. If it weren't for a lot of other things going on in my life, I would have posted this sooner. Basically, I put my ipod on shuffle and here are some of the lyrics to the first 15 songs. Take a guess on what they are. No cheating!

Brandi Carlile
In January of 2006, I went to see Brandi Carlile in concert. In fact, one of my very first posts was about that concert. I went with Susan and LaNae and we all just fell in love with her music. She has more passion than a lot of artists about the songs they sing. In fact, I would hope that I would have that same amount of enthusiasm in anything that I put my heart into, but she's great at what she does. Seeing her sing makes me want to rock out and yell/sing at the top of my lungs. Well, a few weeks ago I saw that she would be making her way back to San Francisco on April 2. She was here last year the same night as KFOG Kaboom, so I didn't make it to the Great American Music Hall due to my patriotic obligation to see fireworks. Anyway...this time, LaNae and I are going for sure. I just bought tickets and I'm sooo excited! If you'd like to check her myspace page out, click here. For her main website, click here.
