Last year for New Years I had planned to stay up until the clock struck twelve, but then woke up in my bed sick as a dog at 3am wondering what had happened to midnight. Awesome. This year, I'm partying it up with friends in Tahoe. Party on, friends.

A new blog. Kinda.
I am sitting at home in Utah right now. In my pajamas, I might add. I actually have time to dink around on the computer without any guilt about not getting other things done. And I like it. So I was checking out some things online and noticed that you can blog from your cell phone. Yes, that's right. If I see something crazy or if I don't have my camera handy, I can take a pic for you on my cell phone and blog about it immediately. Technology these days; I tell ya. I'm loving it. If you ever want to see my mobile blog, check it out at www.stephzundelgo.blogspot.com
I may eventually have the posts sent right here to this blog but I'm going to try this out for a while. Merry Christmas to me!

My new kitchen table
I know that I posted about this a little last week, but last night, it became my very own. My mother owns the same table/chair set, so when I saw it, I wanted it. I don't know why, but I have a great amount of satisfaction in knowing that I own my own kitchen table, with 8 chairs, a sweet couch (!!!), a trunk that acts as a coffee table, and some great bookshelves and bedroom furniture. I think that we're going to paint the table black and then I'm going to make some slipcovers while I'm home next week. A little paint and some toille fabric and this table will look perfect in our little house!
One of my favorite things about the chairs is the detail. For some reason, I love these dragons!! Cool huh?

My weekend
On Saturday I had the great pleasure to attend the wedding of two really good friends. Dan, Kristy, me, and Buck were all invited to the ceremony, which was awesome. This is when we were waiting outside the temple for Derek & Angie to come out. Here they are, Mr. & Mrs. Derek Banks!
My trip to New York
Sorry that its taken me so long to put these pictures up, but my computer has been broken and its currently living in Utah until I bring it home after Christmas. I went to New Orleans for work a few weeks ago, but unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures while I was there. Well, I take that back. I did take two. The first one is of a bed. If you want to know who slept in the bed, you'll just have to ask me about it because I don't know if I want it published on my blog. The second is a picture of a present that I bought for someone that I met in New Orleans. I had the tree delivered to his hotel room on my way out of town. Aw. How sweet of me!
I didn't take a whole lot of pictures while I was in New Orleans mainly because I got really sick while I was there. Let me tell you; feeling like you're going to die while lying in some weird hotel bed is no fun. Well, being sick in any bed is no fun, but I was glad to leave and see my friends who live in New York. I flew into New York on Thursday afternoon and caught a train to Connecticut to see my good friend Tara. She has a really cute apartment with her husband James and their son James. We basically did nothing but sit around and talk the whole time I was there. It was great!!
On Friday I took a couple different forms of public transit to get myself to New Jersey to stay with my friend Keri. On Saturday morning I got up early and headed down to Radio City Music Hall to see these guys:Kinda hard to tell, but these people in Santa outfits are the Rockettes in full dancing mode. I'm not even ashamed to say that I cried at one point during the performance. I loved every second of the show. I want to go again.
One of the girls who was with us knew the organist for the show and hooked us up with backstage passes. So of course we all had to act like the Rockettes while we were on the stage. From left to right: Me(Steph), Jill, Deb, Alicia, Mauri, Elizabeth, Kim, Katie, and Nicole. With some of those reindeer tights on and little Santa outfits, I think we could pass for the real Rockettes, don't you think? After the stunning Rockettes performance, I went to lunch with the girls at Saks, Fifth Avenue. Kinda fun going to Saks on Fifth Avenue. Here I am with Jenn & Mauri. I love those two! Then of course we took pictures at Rockefeller Center with the Christmas tree behind us. There were mobs of people, but one day, my friend, I will go ice skating there at Christmas time. I'll probably have to go with someone who really loves me. As in, loves me enough to wait in the line for 2 hours to go ice skating. On Sunday, I spent the entire day with my beautiful friend Keri. She's pretty much awesome. She and her husband live in Ridgefield, New Jersey and they are happy as clams. I'm so glad that I was able to spend time with her. When I moved to San Francisco she was the first person who really befriended me. I miss her mucho!

Where you can find me on a Friday night
The other night Silvia, Justin, Buck, Kristy, and I went to The Mint down on Market to sing some good karaoke tunes and dance the night away. Kristy sang "Hit me with your best shot" by Pat Benetar and Buck sang the ever popular "Lithium" by Nirvana. While I don't have a picture of Buck singing, you are free to use your wildest imagination for what it was really like.

Birth Announcement
My couch was born today. Well, maybe it wasn't born, but it was brought home a few hours ago and since I haven't seen it yet, here are some pictures from Kristy & Silvia. These were taken on Kristy's phone, so you'll have to excuse the low quality pics.
Dear Couch,
I cannot wait to make out on you.

An anniversary of sorts
It was a year ago today that Rick and I broke up. Crazy how fast time flies by when you're having fun instead of being in a relationship that...
isn't fun.
congratulations to me!
things I've learned this last year:
1. If you have concerns about your boyfriend being interested in your roommate, you're probably right.
I've learned a lot of other things, but that one was the major one. The end.
isn't fun.

The kitchen table I'm buying
I'm baaacckkkkk
I feel like I've been away for a month. Its really only been 8.5 days, but considering I slept in 3 different places while I was gone, it feels much more drawn out. Anyway. I'm back. AND I'm happy to be back. I haven't posted pictures in a long time, so I'll have to put some up of my adventures this past week when I get home tonight. Until then, here are some random ones that Silvia sent me a few weeks back for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
By the way...Kristy, the kitchen looks AWESOME!!!

My wildest dreams DID come true!
I saw the Rockettes today. It was great. I even cried. I'm visiting Keri & Dave Wood right now in New Jersey; I'll be getting home Monday morning and I can post more then.
I still have an alien but it has calmed down a bit.
I love New York. I have amazing friends. The end. For now.

Ward Auction
Our ward's Annual Christmas Auction is tonight.
If you'd like to see what Kristy and I were going to auction off, check out our joint blog that we rarely update. If you can't figure out which link it is, I can't help you.
Since we decided to keep all the items clean this year, we couldn't really auction off the item. This post is for mature audiences only.

What I ended up doing tonight/Giddy as a schoolgirl
So tonight on my way home from work, I decided to nix all my previous plans and call an old friend of mine. His name is Jason and I've known him my entire life. I mean...he's been a part of my life since my memory has developed and he's not my family, which is a rare thing. We met in preschool but when we were in speech class together in kindergarten, our friendship really started. We were in the same kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade together and when my family moved to North Carolina when I was 7, we kept in touch. We were pretty much in love through letters while we were growing up and my senior year of high school, he even took me to the prom. I helped him pick out his first tattoo(its on his shoulder and its some type of Chinese character) on his 18th birthday. These are major life events, people!
I moved to San Francisco 2 years ago and here's a really sad story; the first time I have seen him since I moved here was tonight. How pathetic. It almost makes me want to poke a fork in my eye. Good thing I know some ophthalmologists. We met up at Chevy's in Emeryville and it was like no time had passed. I could go on and on abou t how wonderful I think he is and how he treats me like a princess, but I won't. Lets just say that some crushes never die.
