Big news. Really big news.

I apologize for the radio silence here on my blog for the past two weeks, but my life has been one big huge ball of stress for the last 10 days.

But let me back up. Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy day on my birthday. I really did feel so loved. I seriously had the best birthday week of my life. It started out at Duck Beach with good friends. I was given a snuggie (zebra print) and some other OBX paraphernalia by my friends there. I was able to go have some "me" time on Tuesday and watch Avatar in 3D and then attend the Washington, DC lds temple. I spent some time with a crush (squee!), I bought a smaller size of jeans than I have in 6 years, then I found out that I got my dream job in New York City. Yep, I hope you read that. I am moving to New York City.

I found out last Tuesday, but then have been waiting, waiting, waiting for the official offer to come. And today, it came.

So next week, I will be leaving this behind. Literally, my office building is on the right in this photo.

And this will be my new home starting in the beginning of October.

I will be working for a company that is based out of the UK and has a Manhattan office. I'll be doing generally the same type of stuff that I do right now and from what I can tell, I will be really loving my new life in New York.

On the other hand - and I am even getting teary typing this...San Francisco has been my home for the past 6 years and I have loved every minute of it. In fact, today is my San Francisco anniversary. The people I have met here have changed my life. I have loved my job and I am really sad to leave so many wonderful people behind. My life has been really good here.

And if anyone is interesting in purchasing a couch or a car, you let me know.

Steph let me start by saying how sorry I am that I didn't contact you! I totally spaced that you lived there and my trip was planned so fast! Oh how I would have loved seeing you! I hope you can forgive me :(! Congrats on the new job, that is awesome! If I go to New York I will for sure call you. Oh man I am so sad I probably drove right passed your office and you could have been my tour guide, San Francisco is beautiful!

Wow! That is a huge exciting change! You will love NY!!! I miss it so much. Maybe I will just have to hop on over and visit ya one of these days.... :) Best wishes with the move, the new job and making new friends in NYC. The Singles ward is awesome there. That's where Daniel and I met so I guess I am partial to it. Have fun!
