First Giants Game of 2010.
Ok. Time to blog about things that happened a few weeks ago. LDS night at the Giants was a real. fun. time.
Here's a math equation for you:
Corn dogs + ferris wheel + petting zoo + baseball game = real. fun. time.
Here is the photographic evidence:

Vague Analogy
I remember a few years ago when I was dating a guy and we decided to date other people(still including each other). I think it was my decision, but we both went back and forth in who was feeling more "meh" about our relationship than the other. Anyway - this particular summer, we were dating other people which pretty much amounted to either one of us being set up on dates and going to them grudgingly even though we pretty much only wanted to be with the other.
I know this sounds weird - it is about to get weirder.
One evening in particular, we had spent the entire day together and he had to leave to go pick up a girl for a date. So I kissed him goodbye and sent him on his way. Apparently I was super confident that he liked me and was OK with this.
I've been thinking a lot about this situation lately.
And there's a vague analogy to my life for your Friday.

My life update
Hi. I haven't really posted anything "real" in a while and heavens knows that I have things to post about.
Of course I couldn't bother to stand up while taking a pic of the thousands of people out on the beach - but you get the idea.
Rita paid some day laborers to clear out the weeds in the backyard. If only I knew someone named Rumpelstiltskin. If you do, please let me know quickly. Thanks.
Then I went to the Giants Country fair before LDS night at the Giants on Tuesday. I have more photos of the game that I can post later, but it was just enough of the fair to make it feel like summer. But too cold to make it fun.
But Rachael insisted on having fun. Please zoom in to check out how happy she is in that photo. She wanted the adventurous ride while I wanted the hot tub ferris wheel.
First off - the weather around here for the most part lately has been incredible. When the weather is nice in San Francisco, everyone is outside and madness ensues. It had been a few years since I had been to Baker Beach, so Jeff and I went to enjoy the sunshine for his birthday. Happy birthday!

On Sunday, I wore a dress that I bought about oh, over 3 years ago (please notice that I never dyed it black). I bought it in the mail and didn't fit in it. And now I do. thankyouverymuch. And here is what I did wear to that wedding in case you can't remember.

I have been in San Francisco for almost 2 weeks straight. With a few small trips to Oakland and San Jose, I've been in the city the entire time. Can you believe it? I'm going to shoot for a month solid. Come July 2, I make no promises. Except to Amy - and that I promise to get on the plane to Denver for our next adventure.
And I want to make this sometime soon. Who wants to come over?
And I am working on a summer playlist for you. Yep. Get excited.
And I am trying to teach myself how to play cribbage on my iphone.
Times are good, people. Times are good.

Curls
My dad sent me these photos last week and I thought I'd share due to their hilarity. This is me at around age 2 with my cousin Michael. He is the more Mexican version of my father, so he was always my favorite, naturally. He is also the person who taught me my love for Def Leppard.
It is pretty easy to see why my family called me Shirley Temple and recited the following poem to me on a daily basis:
There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead;
When she was good, she was very, very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid.
la vida es buena en México
This is me catching up on Mexico photos. I didn't take many since I lost my camera charger somewhere between Disneyland and San Francisco, but here are two good ones.
First of all - Amy's family's house in Mexico is rad. The below photo was taken one evening when we were about to leave for dinner. I am standing on the porch outside the bedroom where I slept. Yep. Awesomeness. You can see the tent if you look closely where we shaded ourselves from the rays of the Mexican sun.
Favorite moments:
1. Being given the Indian name: Spicey Up In My Nose after telling some people about the time when I stuck a red hot up my nose at age 3.
2. Convincing Jane to do a handstand and then not catching her legs when she threw them up in the air toward me. sorry, jane!
3. Derek turning his chair around to watch the spectacle of drunkenness occurring behind him at the restaurant.
4. Karen dancing with a giant lobster.
5. Brant breaking the news to a very tired Amber that the two of them were going to stay up for two more hours to play games.
6. Set dreams
7. Playing in the water with Rebecca and Marshall. Warm ocean water = bliss.
8. LW's Us Weekly quizzes.
9. Platanos fritos con dulce de leche y chocolate. yummmmmmmm
10. Marshall's handprint on my arm.
More photos to come. Seriously.

The great thing about the Mexico trip was that it was with my every day friends. Most of the time when I travel, I meet up with people that I don't get to see very often. Every single person that came on this trip lives in the Bay Area. So. Good times with good friends.

the best part of playing a game where you have to find toothpicks in a pool is that the average age of the people playing was about 33.
